The Sanctuary offers a variety of effective healing modalities to help you on your path to health.
All the following methods are available for guests free of charge (with a few noted exceptions) Click on each modality below to learn more.
We ask all our guests to conduct their own research into modalities that pique their interest. The Sanctuary does not employ doctors, so we can only share what has helped us and some of our guests. It is up to you to fully research this page as we only provide guidance after you have read the relevant information and watched the videos where provided. We cannot guarantee any of the modalities will work for you. Ultimately, you, as our guest, are responsible for your own healthcare decisions.

These practices are essential to healing. At the Sanctuary, we meditate together early every morning (Monday-Saturday) then practice yoga on our rooftop palapa.
At meal times we say grace, offering gratitude for and blessing our food, so that it may nourish us and give us the energy to be a positive force in the world.
Breathwork sessions are a complete self-healing system using conscious breath to facilitate improved well-being, inner peace and greater joy in life. At The Sanctuary we offer recorded audio-guided breath sessions in a group. These sessions, facilitated by one of The Sanctuary team, not only help to oxygenate the body and therefore help to heal physical disease, but can be transformational on other levels.
Our Breathwork Sessions usually last for 75 - 90 minutes including sharing about our experience afterwards in a heart circle.
"It is more important to prevent animal suffering, rather than sit to contemplate the evils of the universe praying in the company of priests." --Buddha
We are a plant-based community and offer a diet free from any meat or animal products.
No coffee, meat, fish, or dairy products are allowed at The Sanctuary.

Supplements for additional personal use can be purchased at the Sanctuary.
"Start the practice of self-control with some penance; begin with fasting." --Mahavir
Every Sunday, many people at the Sanctuary decide to fast on water, coconut water, and/or fruit. Although not required, this practice is highly recommended.
Many of our guests learn about the huge benefits to health of colon cleansing. Enema pots are provided free of charge for guests at The Sanctuary. There is an additional charge for use of our colema board if you wish to cleanse the colon deeper.
Shanka Prakshalana is a yogic practice of completely cleansing the intestines (as opposed to just cleaning the large intestine with enema or colema board) using salt water.
"I rinse my mouth with oil every morning, and it has transformed my body. This ancient practice of washing out with your mouth with oil every morning, or even three times a day, has completely detoxed my body." --Oil Pulling Testimonial
This basic feet soak will leave your feet and body feeling great! The ions in the salt work as magnets to draw toxins through the skin of your feet and out of your body into the water.
We use the following ingredients in our soaks.
- 1 cup Epsom Salt
- 1 cup Sea Salt
- 2 cups Baking Soda
Many of our guests report great benefits from soaking their feet daily for a week.
Dry skin brushing is another excellent way to stimulate the lymphatic system to help remove toxins from the body. Dry skin brushing stimulates your body from the outside in. It works to cleanse the whole system and is an effective treatment for many ailments. Accumulated waste products in the body are known to contribute to many illnesses as well as premature aging. Dry skin brushing also increases blood circulation, which helps to contribute to healthier muscle tone and better distribution of fat deposits, also known to many as cellulite.
